According to Insider, Amazon will begin selling Amazon-branded televisions in the United States as early as October. According to Insider, the TVs will include Alexa, screen sizes ranging from 55 to 75 inches, and will be developed and manufactured by third parties such as TCL. According to Insider, the business is also working on an in-house made television, although it is unknown when it will be introduced.

Amazon already has numerous TV projects in the works, including a partnership with Best Buy to sell Toshiba and Insignia TVs that run Amazon’s Fire TV software, an AmazonBasics-branded TV in India, and the Amazon Fire TV Stick and Amazon Fire TV Cube, all of which can be connected to your TV. However, the anticipated new Amazon-branded TV might suggest that the business is ramping up its television efforts in order to compete more directly with TV heavyweights such as LG and Samsung.
