Apple has published a new iPhone software update iOS 14.6 which includes Apple Card Family support, a new Apple Podcasts Subscription service, AirTag enhancements, security enhancements, and a slew of bug fixes. Although iOS 14.6 is not as significant as iOS 14.5, it does have essential additions.
One of the most notable aspects of this update is Apple Card Family compatibility, which was introduced during the Spring Reloaded event last month. This feature allows users to share the Apple Card with up to five persons in their Family Sharing group who are 13 or older. Users may track costs, manage spending with configurable limits and restrictions, and develop credit along with Apple Card Family.
Moreover, With iOS 14.6, Apple’s Podcasts subscription service is also available. Podcast makers may now charge subscription fees to their listeners. Apple has enabled email address support for AirTags in the Lost Mode option for AirTag and Find My network accessories. Further, When activated with an NFC-capable device, AirTag will now display the owner’s partially camouflaged phone number. Voice Control users may also use their voice to unlock their iPhone for the first time after a restart in iOS 14.6.
This new update by the tech giant also addresses a number of problems, including the one where Apple Watch unlocking did not work after using Lock iPhone on Apple Watch. More issue fixes include reminders that show as blank lines, call blocking extensions that do not display in Settings, and Bluetooth devices that disconnect during an ongoing conversation.
