Xiaomi will hold an event in China on August 10 to introduce its next-generation OLED TV with the Mi Mix 4 smartphone. Aside from the fact that it has an OLED display, details on the new television are sparse at the time. A recent listing on a Chinese e-commerce portal reveals the screen sizes of Xiaomi’s new OLED TV lineup. On August 10, the Xiaomi launch event will begin at 7.30 p.m. local time (5pm IST).
JD.com, a Chinese e-commerce site, has created a dedicated teaser website for the next-generation Mi OLED TV 2021 range, which will be available on August 10. According to the listing, the Mi OLED TV 2021 series would be available in three sizes: 55-inch, 65-inch, and 77-inch. According to the teaser website, the OLED TV will have minimal bezels and will enable Nvidia G-Sync for a better gaming experience. The page also promises better image quality, though it doesn’t go into much information on that front.
According to the JD.com listing, the Mi OLED TV 2021 series will include an Ultra HD 4K display resolution with HDR compatibility. It will operate on Android TV, provide voice help, and be powered by a quad-core CPU. The 55-inch model is estimated to weigh 21.5kg, the 65-inch is estimated to weigh 30.1kg, and the 77-inch is estimated to weigh 53.3kg.
JD.com does not provide any further information. However, all price, specs, and availability information should be given during the event on Tuesday, August 10. The Mi Mix 4 will also be introduced at the event, as previously said. Xiaomi’s flagship smartphone is likely to include a back camera arrangement in a shell similar to the Mi 11 Ultra. It is expected to include an under-display selfie camera. The phone will most likely be powered by a Snapdragon 888 SoC with 12GB of RAM. Xiaomi will also introduce the Mi Pad 5 series at the event, according to Weibo.
